Information about the Abstract Submission
For easier handling, you will be asked to insert your abstract text using Markdown. It’s easy to use –
click below to see the basic syntax and a sample abstract with common scientific characters.
For more details, please check out the instructions below.
- As default, please use Markdown to format your text. Keep it simple – remember that an abstract should contain a qualitative summary of your research and no mathematical details!
- In addition, you can insert UTF-8 characters – such as Greek letters – straightforward. Below, you find a list of the most important UTF-8 characters from which you can copy & paste.
- If you really need an equation or other formatting which is not covered by these options, please use LaTeX syntax and put it between $-signs. Example:
$\lambda = \frac{c}{\nu}$ will be rendered as
- Please note: LaTeX will not be parsed in the preview window of the abstract submission. Therefore, please test your code in advance.
- You can add one graphic ≦ 5MB which will be displayed at the bottom of your abstract. If you need more than one graphic, please copy them into one graphic file.
- Don’t worry – you will be sent a PDF with your abstract for final review after the deadline! 🙂
